These sessions are geared for parents of newborn babies up to 2 yrs old. Many parents ask us what should we do if? We have put together this friendly, let's learn together, programme to deal with specific concerns.
We will attend your local venue, such as mother and toddler group etc or we can offer a venue on Saturday mornings for adhoc drop-in sessions.
We also offer Dads only sessions for Dads and Grandads to come along and get basic advice.
Thankfully, infants rarely need resuscitating but many new parents often ask us how to do CPR on an infant and small child. This training gives peace of mind.
Small children choking on food or foreign objects is very scary. On this session, we look at common airway problems with babies and toddlers and how to deal with them.
Babys don't come with a handbook! What's that rash? Why is my baby unwell? We look at the signs & symptoms of Meningitis and when and how to act.
It's normal for infants to pick up common illnesses as their immune system develops. But what is that barking cough? What should I do?
When infants catch infections and their temperature rises, they can become quite ill. Scary for parents who are not sure what is wrong. This session looks at simple things we can do.
At the end of our session we have an open question and answers session where attendees can ask questions. This is not a substitute for taking professional advice - just basic guideline answers.
Nothing on this page nor in our sessions is intended to replace or substitute professional medical advice. We do not provide medical advice; only common sense approach to our little ones. If you have a specific concern you should consult your local doctor, community nurse, midwife, health visitor or pharmacist for expert advice. If in doubt call 111 or 112/999.
